Their unprecedented popularity means that they are flying off the shelves all the time, but luckily manufacturers and retail shops are aware of this and have learnt to keep their outlets fully stocked up with these popular products.

Hair straighteners are less popular in the summer than in the winter, possibly because when people are on holiday and in generally hotter whether they seem to care less about being completely groomed. The popular beach hippy look, with wavy hair and long dresses has undergone a revival and become more popular in recent years, which means that a high maintenance look such as completely straight hair in the summer is not as necessary.

Hair straighteners are popular in western countries, but are predominantly used in the United Kingdom and in America. This is possibly because of the celebrity culture that exists in these countries, which is not as prevalent in other areas of the world.
